And there he was – sitting at a meeting I had organized with a dozen other CEOs. They’d come to share their thorniest dilemmas and be reminded that their businesses and their troubles are not as unique as they liked to imagine. Whatever it was, someone else had already conquered it.
—

Amazingly, I got to nearly all of these heavy hitters by cold calling. At first I was shocked at who you can reach by phone when you first put some thought into it. But then I remembered that just about anything can be done when you put some thought into it.

And so, my CEO peer advisory group met about two dozen times over a couple of years in board rooms up and down the country.

I had a real problem though: It wasn’t turning into enough business. And so eventually, I was forced to end the group.
—

So yes, I know what it’s like to be smart, talented, know you have a lot to give through your products and services – and to be desperately frustrated at your inability to get the customers.

Sure, I had some of the critical pieces down to a system. The cold calling, for example. That’s what prompted Al’s “chutzpah” comment. He had been impressed with the way I got through to him. Impressed enough to meet for coffee and then join my group.

But I never did get a decent project with his company, nor most of the others.
—

In the years since then, I’ve figured out what I was missing:

An end-to-end sales system.

Turns out, most business owners have lots of the pieces, they’re just not putting them together in a useful way. It’s like having all the parts for a slick sports car stacked in your driveway. It ‘aint going to get you anywhere.

You need the big picture first. Then you know where each piece fits.
—

And so much of my work recently has been with small business owners who love what they do, are exceptionally smart and talented, KNOW that their products are important and improve the lives of
many – but they’re having trouble actually getting those great customers.

Which is why I recently created a MANUAL that teaches business owners how to create your own end-to-end sales system.

It walks you through the five main steps in a sales system that actually leads to consistent, predictable sales:

1. Your ideal customers ‘raise their hands.’ They self-select and essentially say “Hey, that sounds
interesting. Tell me more.”

2. Your ideal customers come to trust you and your company.

3. You earn the right to lead them and make a recommendation – your product.

4. You close a profitable deal.

5. You generate consistent back-end sales.
—

So if you’re looking for more than just compliments on your products - or on your chutzpa - and you want actual sales, go have a look at my new marketing and selling system manual.

But DON’T BUY it right away!

Since you’ve been on my list for a while, if you read the sales letter and you think “This may be just what I need right now” send me an email with your story. Tell me WHY you think it may be just what you need right now.

And if you’re thoughtful and open, I may just send back a coupon code to knock that price down a bit for you.

I care. And I appreciate that you’ve been reading my emails.

And if you need some help and I can give it to you - I’m eager to do so.

Should you attend? I don’t know. But I prepared this 9 minute podcast to help you decide. Have a listen. Even to just the first 5 minutes.

In this podcast you’ll hear:

– The two reasons a man buys something according to Mark Twain. (Humorous and deadly insight.)

– What you’ll learn at the workshop on Monday

– Why listening to a social media expert is like asking a plumber or painter to design and build your house.

Click here to download the .mp3

It’s for you? Great, then go here to register: http://embn.org.il/events?event_id=40

ALSO, make sure I cover YOUR burning question or problem by answering these three short questions. Mention in one of your answers that you’ll be at Josh’s event so I know to pay close attention.

WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

—————————————————————–

How to Build a Step-by-Step Selling System

that Brings You All the Customers You Want.

Are you feeling stuck because you’re not getting the customers you want? Have you tried a bit of this and some of that, but the results are disappointing? Do you KNOW that with your level of talent you should be doing much better? But after all this time, it’s still not clear HOW to make it work?

Imagine you knew the specific steps to turn on a never-ending flow of your ideal customers… What if you could systematically and build credibility and trust with the customers you most wanted – just like big companies do? What would it be like to know that every time you invest $1 in your marketing system, you get $5, $10 or $15 in return?

At this workshop, you’ll learn:

- The only five steps you need to create a fully automated marketing, selling and fulfillment cycle. When you know these five steps, you’ll always know what to do next to get more leads and convert them into paying customers.

- Why lead generation has been so hard – and how to make it simple, predictable and consistent. This is one of those simple insights that I “knew” for many years. When I finally “GOT IT” my business turned around almost overnight. (zero in on one problem, one market, one offer)

- How to elegantly control and direct the conversation so you are the one leading the sales process at every step. So many deals are lost because your prospect ends up leading. Why? Usually because your own selling process isn’t clear enough TO YOU, so you lose control. Or because it’s based on the typical sales funnel rather than on timeless psychological truths.

- Prospects almost always ask for the price before THEY are ready – and if you answer, you’ll lose the deal. You’ll learn how to recognize if your prospect is indeed ready for a proposal. And if it is premature, you’ll learn how to turn it around so they end up wanting to buy from you regardless of your price. This idea alone will be make participation more than worth your time.

- The “turn the tables on yourself” technique for making yourself irresistible to your ideal customers.

Nothing will restore the thrill and satisfaction of entrepreneurship for you faster than consistently and predictably attracting a bunch of first rate customers.

Be sure to join us on Monday, October 11th 2010. Click here to register: http://embn.org.il/events?event_id=40

All this is doable – when you approach marketing and sales with reverence and the commitment to get it right, instead of hoping it just happens or frantic and scattered action.

If you’ve been in business for a while and you know you are capable of so much more; and you know that a key weakness is that you need a better system for marketing and selling your products or services, then be sure to register for this workshop.

See you there,

At this workshop, you’ll learn:
