A teenager just walked into the coffee shop here where I’m writing this. His pants were half-way down his behind. We could all see his bright blue undies.
His dress reveals his level of maturity. It reveals that he’s at a place in his life where he’s aware of some things, and utterly clueless about others.
He imagines he’s broadcasting how cool he is. And maybe he is. But only to people at his level of maturity or below.
There’s nothing I could say to him that would convince him to care about what he’s broadcasting to the rest of us.
So I’m not gonna try. If he’s lucky, he’ll mature over time and learn for himself.
It’s the same thing with a consultant we’ll call “Fred.”
Two years ago Fred left the corporate world to strike out on his own as a consultant. Since then, he’s struggled to get a paying client or two.
After hearing my “Five Steps to A Consistent Flow of Customers” teleseminar, he reached out to me.
“Your seminar awakened me to what I’ve been doing wrong and why I’m not getting any clients.”
Before the seminar, he didn’t know what he didn’t know. He was walking around in the dark and thought it was light.
The “5 Steps” made him aware that there’s a whole world out there he knew nothing about. A world that holds the keys to his own consistent flow of ideal clients.
What would you do when you suddenly have an aha moment like that?
I know what I would do. Like a leach, I would attach myself to the source of my new awakening and suck every last bit of wisdom I could get. I would implement everything I learned and enjoy the results.
It’s what I’ve done multiple times and it’s been critical to my progress.
But not Fred.
After hearing about how I can help him, which naturally has an investment attached to it, he decided “I’m going to listen to that little voice that’s telling me ‘You can do this on your own, Fred.'”
His pants are half-way down his behind. But he thinks he’s dressed in formal evening wear.
And there’s nothing I could possibly say that will convince him otherwise.
He’s gonna have to learn it for himself.
There are lots of people like Fred out there. And that’s why if you’re a more mature entrepreneur, you really just need a few tweaks to put yourself head and shoulders above your competition.
If you know you need some real hands-on help to create your own steady, consistent, predictable flow of ideal clients…
And you’ve already concluded that your life is too short to figure it out on your own, then apply for one of the 5-7 “Consistent Flow of Customers” strategy sessions I give away each month.
I’ll walk you through an exercise that will achieve two things:
1. It will open your eyes to the number one thing that, when you act on it, will move you forward fast
AND,
2. It is a chance for us to see if we should work closely together afterwards to accelerate your growth.
This is for mature entrepreneurs only.
If that’s you, go here to request your session.
Happy New Year,
Dov Gordon
